The Choir School of Hartford

Meet our singers

Faith Wada celebrated her fifteenth birthday in New York City on the 2023 Chorister NYC Tour in January. She attends Hall High School and has a most incredible voice! She also recently started taking piano lessons and is hoping to learn Scott Joplin’s Maple Leaf Rag before the end of the year. We celebrate your musical journey and are glad you’re with us at The Choir School of Hartford!

Franklin Mogor is the youngest in the Mogor family and joined the Choir School in 2022 when he turned eight years old. He has a can-do attitude and his wonderful energy add a lot to our music community. We’re so excited to have his joyful spirit among us!

Shaylah Haywood joined us in 2022 and we’re so happy to have her with us! She’rsquo;s going into seventh grade and recently performed in her first musical theatre show — Moana! She’rsquo;s a kind, supportive spirit and we celebrate her ongoing musical success as she continues exploring and sharing her voice.

Ruby Diaz joined The Choir School in 2022. Her cousin, Isabella, had been in The Choir School since 2021 and encouraged her to audition. Ruby is an extremely creative high-schooler with a deep passion for figure drawing and animation in addition to music. Ruby began piano lessons in 2023, and we're excited to help guide her musical journey!

Adalia Sterling attends CREC Academy of Aerospace and Engineering in Windsor. In addition to being a leader in The Choir School of Hartford, she is also an avid baker, specializing in cookies and brownies, which she occasionally brings to Choir School functions.

Austin Mogor is the second youngest boy in the Mogor family. He’rsquo;s also got a killer sense of style and sense of humor! In his spare time, he also enjoys playing football and video games with friends. His favorite snacks are Takis and Sour Patch Kids. Austin’rsquo;s humorous, steadfast, down-to-earth presence is a joy to have in The Choir School.

Krista Mogor is Head Chorister for the 2023–2024 season after her sister, Olivia, graduated and moved on to college. Krista’rsquo;s voice has only gotten more strong and refined over the years and we’rsquo;re honored to have her leadership among us, both musically and interpersonally. In addition to The Choir School, she also enjoys drawing and playing bass clarinet in her school band.

Julieta Bido-Jimenez attends Corpus Christi Middle School in Wethersfield, where she has also performed in the yearly productions (Michael Banks in Mary Poppins Jr., 2022 and in the ensemble for Annie Jr., 2023). She also takes flute lessons in her spare time. Within The Choir School, she is a very dedicated piano student, and performed Bach’rsquo;s prelude no. 1 in C major in 2022 and Chopin’rsquo;s prelude in E minor in 2023.

Arianny Dilone joined The Choir School in 2022 after her brother, Adrian, was a chorister for many years before his voice dropped — and he joined the Trinity Adult Choir! Arianny attends Anna Fischer Montessori, and enjoys drawing in her free time. She has a compassionate demeanor and a desire to help others. We are so grateful for her presence.

Porsche Ileoje is one of our youngest choristers and has already made such a wonderful impact on our community! She has a great sense of humor and an inspiring openness about sharing thoughts and ideas among the choir. In 2023 she acted in her first school play, as Caption Hook in Peter Pan Jr. Her mother, Yvonne, also sings in the Trinity Adult Choir.

Sophie Reilly Sophie is a dedicated pianist as well as a singer in The Choir School. She attends Wethersfield High School; her father, Jim, also sings in the Trinity Adult Choir. She is particularly helpful at explaining musical concepts to younger choristers and helping them through their workbooks. Her engaging spirit and sense of humor are joyful additions in our community.

Isabella Lozano-Diaz is a student at Carmen Arace Middle School in Bloomfield, and has also studied piano for the past couple years at The Choir School. Her other interests include fashion and animals. Her playful, considerate spirit is a wonderful part of the chorister community.
